A fitting use for these exceptional pieces of Walnut, that were too wide for the machine and had to be prepared with hand planes.

The curved ends of the overlapping joints are planned to give a rippling serpentine effect when seen from the corner, and the shape of the top is indeed serpentine.

The inside bottom panels are Cedar of Lebanon, which is aromatic and keeps moths away.
