The Main Workshop is of 2 rooms, formerly a cowshed. The machinery workshop is arranged to be able to handle long and large enough pieces of timber for almost any piece of furniture. Most the preparation, joinery and shaping is done in the machine shop.

However, most of the time spent on a piece is in the hand workshop, where fine sharp hand tools do work that no machine can handle, and, used with skill and experience, leave perfect true surfaces on the wood to show off its beauty with complete clarity.

Adjoining the workshop is the timber shed.

A few finished pieces of Hugo’s work can usually be seen in his house [a converted milking shed] across the yard.
